Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana bagged P.U Intercollege Basketball Championship trophy in a three-day event held at Guru Nanak Stadium from September 29 to October 1, 2024.
The event brought together talented female sportspersons from seven colleges to compete in Basketball sports. The young players showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. KCW won the overall trophy for the second time in a row, PU campus clinched 1st runners up while GGS Sec 26 grabbed 2nd Runners up trophy.
The tournament aimed to promote gender equality in sports while encouraging more women to pursue excellence in athletics. Over 80 sportspersons participated representing various colleges affiliated to PU Chandigarh.
S. Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Secretary, PBA and KCW Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal graced the event. Director Dr. Mukti Gill and the college Principal applauded the sports girls on their victory and appreciated the efforts of HOD Physical Education Dr. Mandeep Kaur and team coaches Saloni, Mr. Ravinder and Mr. Rajinder.
