NSS Camp

On January 10, 2025, the NSS Cell of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, started a seven-day special camp with the theme ‘Youth for My Bharat.’ The camp commenced with morning refreshments, followed by a solemn inauguration by Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal. The event began on a spiritual note with the Shabad ‘De Shiva Var Mohe’ to seek divine blessings. The NSS volunteers further set the tone for the week by singing the NSS theme song. During the inaugural ceremony, Program Officer Mrs. Vibha Jain presented the annual report for the year 2023-2024, highlighting the achievements and contributions of the NSS unit. Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal inspired the volunteers with her encouraging words, urging them to participate wholeheartedly in the camp. She emphasized the importance of cultivating the spirit of selfless service in everyday life and underscored how such initiatives help shape individuals while contributing to society. Following the inaugural ceremony, the volunteers were introduced to the aims and objectives of the camp. An engaging ice-breaking session allowed participants to introduce themselves, fostering camaraderie and a sense of belonging among the group. After lunch, the evening session focused on organizational planning. Various committees, including the Discipline Committee, Cultural Committee, Mess Committee, Refreshment Committee, and Editorial Committee, were formed. Volunteers were assigned specific roles within these committees to ensure smooth functioning and active involvement throughout the camp.
