KCW GIRLS SHINE IN B.C.A PU EXAMINATIONS

The students of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana once again proved their mettle in BCA-5th semester examinations, results of which were declared by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Aanchal bagged 9th position in the university and 1st position in college by scoring 87.2 per cent marks, Isha bagged 2nd position in the college by scoring 85.2 per cent mark while Ginni Grover and Jyoti Gupta clinched 3rd position in the college by scoring 84.5 per cent mark.
The elated students of the Department of Computer Science expressed happiness at the outcomes of the university exams. Aanchal said that hard work of their faculty members coupled with blessings provided by their parents and the college Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill played an important role in their success.
Er. Pritpal Singh Grewal, President managing committee congratulated the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill and the staff of Computer Science department for their sincere efforts in generating stupendous results. They applauded the students for maintaining the tradition of the college in clinching university positions and also wished them luck to continue to scale greater heights in life.

A Step towards Harvesting Glory: KCW Organizes an Orientation Programme

Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed staff and held an orientation programme for the faculty to apprise them of them of the essence of this competitive inhibition.

As the college celebrates the 60th year of its inception, it was a proud privilege for its faculty to witnesses its innumerable achievements in the form of a PowerPoint presentation that encapsulated the mission, vision and values upheld by the college. The plethora of courses, year-round activities, clubs, cells and community service programs were also highlighted alongwith the rules and regulation code for conduct. The college continuous to be a synonym for excellence and the orientation programme was another step towards preparing for another fruitful and productive session.

The principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill stressed the importance of the triadic harmony of head, heart and hands to be able to achieve the glory we aim for.

Fabric Art workshop

Department of Home Science and Fashion Designing of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organised two days workshop of Fabric Art on 1 st and 2nd August 2018. In this workshop students enjoyed to learn various techniques of Tie and Dye, Block printing, Stencil printing & Texture painting. Students made beautiful articles like Suits, Duppattas, Cushion Covers, Table Mats and many more with Tie and Dye and Block Printing. At the end of workshop students exhibited their artefact.
The Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Mukti Gill appreciated the efforts of staff members &
encouraged them to organize such workshop in future also where students get
exposure of recent fashion trends & techniques.
