DAAN UTSAV Drive by Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana

Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, proudly participated in DAAN UTSAV 2024, an initiative organized in collaboration with City need and the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. The college community came together to collect an impressive 3000 items, ranging from groceries to furniture, generously contributed by faculty, students, and staff. These items were carefully sorted and packed into cartons by 20 dedicated volunteers from the Youth Club, under the leadership of Dr. Monita Dhiman, Incharge of the Youth Club. Today, the entire collection was successfully handed over to the Municipal Corporation for distribution to those in need.

The Principal, Dr. Kamaljit Grewal expressed her pride in the efforts of the college community and appreciated the overwhelming response from our faculty and students for DAAN UTSAV which reflects our collective commitment to social responsibility. Dr. Mukti Gill, Director, also applauded the initiative added that  drive has not only provided essential support to underprivileged sections of society but has also set an example for our students on the importance of giving back. She encouraged everyone to keep the spirit of sharing alive throughout the year.Dr. Monita Dhiman, Incharge of the Youth Club, acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the volunteers and stated that our student volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this drive and felt proud of their commitment to making a difference.
