Youth Red Cross Volunteers of Khalsa College For Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana participated in the event Pinktober a Breast Awareness Campaign organised by Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Care Charitable Trust held at Guru Nanak Bhawan on October 9, 2024. The students were apprised about the Breast Cancer causes and prevention. Film actor Mahima Chaudhry was the star campaigner of the event. She deliberated on the issue throwing light on all the aspects if the concern and shared her experiences of battling it out. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Wander and Dr. Sandeep Puri from DMC Hospital delivered informative lectures on self- examination, early detection and treatment of cancer. The other experts from the field also gave their invaluable inputs on the issue. Documentary on cancer awareness was also showcased in the event.
The Principal Dr Kamaljit Grewal appreciated the efforts of the Youth Red Cross Unit and encouraged the students to spread awareness among family and friends and contribute to the society as responsible citizens of nation.
