Khalsa College for Women Secures Bronze at All India Inter-University Championship After 11 Years

Khalsa College for Women has made a triumphant return to the national sporting arena by securing the bronze medal in the All India Basketball Inter-University Championship after a gap of 11 years. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and hard work of the players and coaching staff. The Championship held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana from 03-08 March 2025 under the guidance of Basketball Coach Ms. Saloni and Secretary of Punjab Basketball Association Mr. Teja Singh.

The team players of KCW are Manmeet Kaur (Captain), Kanishka Dhir, Nadar Kaur Dhillon, Nandani Saha, Komalpreet Kaur and Anchal.

The team displayed outstanding skill and determination throughout the tournament, competing against some of the best university teams from across the country. Their stellar performance in the 3rd place match Panjab University Chandigarh defeated GNDU Amritsar with a dominant score of 103-76. Securing Third Place in All India Interuniversity.

The college management, faculty, and students have expressed immense pride in the team’s achievement. The Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal, Director Dr. Mukti Gill, H.O.D Physical Education Dr. Mandeep Kaur along with the Director of Sports, Panjab University Dr. Rakesh Malik, congratulated the players and assured them of continued support for future competitions.
