Under its project Nandini- a CSR initiative to spread health and hygiene awareness among girl students, Vardhman Special steels ltd granted 10 sanitary napkin incinerators to two leading women colleges in the city. 5 incinerators each were installed at Khalsa College for Women and Government Colleges for girls, Ludhiana campus and hostels with the objective to promote hygiene among the girl students and also to reduce the bio waste that gets accumulated every year because of volumes of sanitary napkins getting accumulated.
Principals of both the institutions thanked Mr Sachit Jain, Vice Chairman and Ms Saumya Jain, Executive Director Vardhman Special Steels for coming forward to support the cause of health and hygiene among young girls.
